Welcome Zoe!

The volunteers and staff at Starlight's DataDive weekend

“I have seen the value of data expertise in the charity sector first-hand.”

Zoe is our newest team member, and her role of Team Coordinator is what keeps everything in DataKind UK running smoothly, from data capture to payroll.

What were you up to before joining DataKind UK?

Before joining DataKind I worked at St Christopher’s Hospice, where I was a coordinator in clinical education, helping clinicians deliver training programmes, organising events, and supporting learners.

I started out my career as a team coordinator for chefs at a culinary school. I spent six years in operations for an e-commerce agency before moving into the charity sector.

Why are you excited to join DataKind UK?

Joining DataKind UK feels exciting because I have seen the value of data expertise in the charity sector first-hand.

My experience working at St Christopher’s, which is a big part of my local community in South London, really gave me a particular passion to see local charities succeed through getting access to the knowledge and resources they need.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I have just started an Italian language course. Although I was terrible at languages at school, spending a year in Japan helped me discover a love of language learning later in life.

In my free time I also enjoy spending time in South London parks and drawing or painting.
